Call for Demonstrations
The 2027 IEEE International Conference on Big Data and Smart Computing (IEEE BigComp 2027) will be held on January 25–28, 2027 at Fukuoka International Congress Center, Fukuoka, Japan. The Demonstration Track invites exciting, highly interactive demo submissions in big data and smart computing research, development, and practice.
Following the dedicated Demonstration Track introduced at IEEE BigComp 2026, IEEE BigComp 2027 welcomes innovative contributions that showcase practical systems, prototypes, tools, platforms, and applications. Demonstrations should make research results tangible, highlight working technologies, and enable conference participants to understand or interact with the demonstrated system.
All demonstration submissions must:
- Provide the motivation behind the demonstrated concept or system.
- Describe the system and the underlying technology.
- Explain what features, scenarios, and interactions will be demonstrated.
- State the novelty and significance of the contribution.
Highlights for the Demonstration Track
- Demonstrations will be presented at the IEEE BigComp 2027 conference, and accepted accompanying manuscripts will be published in the IEEE BigComp 2027 proceedings.
- Authors are encouraged to include a demonstration video and to creatively show how the system can be used in different scenarios, datasets, and use cases.
- Demonstration papers are limited to 4 pages, including all references and appendices.
Video Submission
Authors are encouraged to provide a demonstration video of up to 5 minutes. The purpose of the video is to convey an impression of what will be demonstrated; it does not need to show the final, polished version of the system.
The video may summarize the demonstration and highlight its most important aspects, such as the user interface, options for user interaction, system setup, and representative use cases. Instead of uploading a file, please enter a URL to the video (e.g., an unlisted YouTube link or Google Drive) in the “Demonstration video URL” field of the submission form, and ensure the link is accessible to reviewers.

Criteria for Selecting Demos
Demonstration submissions will be selected based on several criteria, including relevance, novelty, technical depth, and the “wow” factor of the demonstration. Each submission must clearly describe the functionality that will be demonstrated and explain how the audience will be able to understand or interact with the system.
Demo Submission Information
Demonstration papers must be prepared in accordance with the IEEE two-column conference paper format and submitted in PDF format. The page limit is 4 pages, including all references and appendices.
Demonstration papers are submitted through EasyChair. Please select the “Demonstrations” track.
Authors are encouraged to provide a demonstration video (up to 5 minutes). Instead of uploading a file, please enter a URL to the video (e.g., an unlisted YouTube link or Google Drive) in the “Demonstration video URL” field of the submission form, and ensure the link is accessible to reviewers.
Demonstration papers are reviewed single-blind; author information may be included in the manuscript.
At least one author of each accepted demonstration is expected to present it in person at the conference.
